My webmaster, whom I have hosting my sites, collocated his server with Acronoc, a Houston TX based datacenter. It's been alleged that Acronoc skipped out on their lease with the building, forcing the lawyers for the building to freeze any property that was allegedly left behind in an attempt to recoup losses. Once my webmaster realized the sites were offline, he went to Acronoc's datacenter to retrieve his server from their rack, but he was denied access by the building manager. This of course meant that all websites hosted by my webguy (including mine) were left with no service and no websites. It took intervention from my webguy's lawyer to eventually allow him to reclaim the server. Of course, one could ask why my webguy didn't have a plan b prepared for such an event, but it's already moot and he did the best he could to remedy the situation. All I can do is take steps to prevent something like this from happening again. It's embarrassing to have been in this situation but there's nothing I can do to undo it. So, I'm just going to concentrate on making fun content and working on upgrading my Goddess Sonya web pages to make the experience a better one. In the meantime, I went through and credited every member of all my sites for the days they lost where applicable. If I missed you, please send me your information so I can take care of it.
